Ogden Trust School Partnership Programme
The Ogden Trust is a charitable trust that exists to promote the teaching and learning of physics, with the overall goal of increasing the number of students taking physics at GCSE, A-Level and at University.  Beacon Academy is the lead school in a Ogden Primary Partnership.  The project lead is working with 9 Kernow Learning schools across the Trust to deliver inspiring, hands-on science to pupils, raising the profile of the subject and encouraging the children to believe they can be scientists!  The Kernow Learning schools taking part are as follows:
Trenance
Beacon, Charlestown, Foxhole, St. Columb Minor, St. Columb Major, 
St. Newlyn East, The Bishops', Trevisker, Upton Cross
Through the School Partnership Programme, the Ogden Trust provide funding, equipment, CPD and facilitate partnership-working with other schools and Trusts in the UK.  The four-year partnership runs from 2020 to 2024 and the funding will be used to provide events, activities, trips and training to the 10 participating schools.  Science leaders from each of the partnership schools meet termly to plan an exciting and inspiring programme of events.
